Job Description Summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage (PCS) business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power requirements for their high-performance, efficient and demanding applications. We work with the world’s major, industry, maritime and defence organisations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency, whilst delivering key capability, availability and decarbonisation through our advanced electrical power systems and marine power & propulsion solutions.

The Marine Power Test Facility (MPTF) is a dedicated, full power, land-based test facility and plays a crucial role in de-risking present and future power and propulsion technologies, systems and from product development and verification through to complete, full-scale integrated power and propulsion including new ‘clean ship’ technologies. The MPTF is the only commercial land-based facility in the world that is capable of full-scale testing of complete integrated naval power and propulsion systems from ship fit prime movers through to propulsion at up to 20MW scale.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
