Lead Electrician – Commercial Solar PV

£50,000 to £55,000 + Company Van + Hotels Paid + £45 Overnight Allowance + Door to Door Travel + Overtime + Progression

We are recruiting an experienced Lead Electrician with a strong Commercial Solar PV background to lead electrical installation teams across projects nationwide.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has come through electrical installation and is comfortable leading electricians, apprentices, and support engineers on site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical installation teams on Commercial Solar PV projects
  • Oversee containment, cabling, termination, testing, and commissioning
  • Coordinate with mechanical installation teams
  • Carry out quality checks and resolve installation issues
  • Manage daily workload and site resources
  • Mentor electricians and support engineers
  • Maintain high H&S and workmanship standards

Requirements

  • Strong Commercial Solar PV installation experience
  • Previous experience leading electrical teams
  • NVQ Level 3
  • AM2
  • ECS Gold Card
  • 18th Edition
  • 2391 or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Happy to travel and stay away nationwide

Solar PV and EV qualifications advantageous.
