Lead Technology Consultant — London (Perm)

What you'll be doing

You'll lead technically and, in most cases, lead people too — owning delivery outcomes for a client engagement and setting technical direction. You're expected to be full stack in practice: comfortable owning a backend built in a strongly typed language, equally comfortable in the front end, and hands on with the infrastructure and delivery pipeline underneath it all.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Most of your week will be spent working alongside client teams, sometimes fully remote, sometimes on site. You'll need to be able to get into London on short notice when a client needs it, so anywhere up to around two hours out is fine.

What we're looking for

  • A strongly typed backend language —.NET or Java — paired with genuine front-end capability across JS/Node/TypeScript.
  • Ownership of the full delivery pipeline: CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent), testing built in as standard.
  • Leadership experience — ideally a couple of stints at lead level owning a cross-functional team and its outcomes. If you're a staff engineer who's owned the technical direction without formally managing people.
