Join us as an E4 Lead Engineer – Finance Lakehouse

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance technology at Nationwide Building Society. As part of our Finance and Treasury Value Stream, you’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering technology solutions that enable our Finance function to operate efficiently, accurately, and with agility.

Role Overview

The E4 Lead Engineer for Finance Federated Engineering will provide strategic, technical, and people leadership for Nationwide's Finance Data Lakehouse capability, a critical component of the Finance Data Modernisation programme. The role is accountable for the engineering delivery, operation, and continual evolution of the Finance Data Lakehouse platform, ensuring it delivers secure, scalable, and resilient data products that support financial reporting, regulatory reporting, analytics, and AI-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, technical, and people leadership for Nationwide's Finance Data Lakehouse capability.
  • Ensure the Finance Data Lakehouse platform delivers secure, scalable, and resilient data products.
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary team of permanent engineers and strategic suppliers.
  • Establish engineering standards and drive adoption of modern engineering practices.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with architecture principles, security requirements, and regulatory controls.
