At Allstate

At Allstate, great things happen when our people work together to protect families and their belongings from life’s uncertainties. And for more than 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers’ evolving needs. From advocating for seat belts, air bags and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.

Your role in the team

We are seeking a visionary senior engineering leader to define and execute the strategy, architecture, and delivery of Allstate's End User Computing portfolio. This role is accountable for endpoint engineering, modern management, virtual workstations, device lifecycle management, digital employee experience, software delivery, print services, telemetry, automation, and AI-driven operational excellence.

The successful candidate will lead multiple engineering teams, drive outcome-based delivery, develop technical talent, and partner across business and technology organizations to deliver secure, reliable, and frictionless digital workplace experiences at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Lead Digital Product Manager (DPM) to define and execute the End User Computing vision, product strategy, investment priorities, service roadmap, and business-aligned outcomes.
  • Lead and develop high-performing engineering leaders and teams responsible for end user computing services, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and talent growth.
  • Drive the transformation of the digital workplace through modern technologies, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, self-service experiences, and proactive issue prevention to enhance employee productivity.
  • Oversee the engineering, delivery, and lifecycle management of Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, mobile devices, browsers, virtual workstations, software distribution platforms, hardware services, printing solutions, telemetry, and automation capabilities.
  • Define enterprise device strategies, including hardware standards, user personas, lifecycle management, refresh programs, procurement recommendations, and the evaluation and deployment of end-user technologies and peripherals.
  • Lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient endpoint and virtual desktop services, enabling seamless access to digital workspaces from any location or device.
  • Establish and advance Digital Employee Experience (DEX) capabilities through telemetry, AI-driven insights, monitoring, orchestration, automation, and experience management to continuously improve service quality and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage modern endpoint management solutions, including device provisioning, configuration, compliance, software deployment, patching, and operational performance measurement through KPIs, KCIs, and experience metrics.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key technology vendors, product management, cybersecurity, compliance, networking, support, and risk management teams to ensure engineering excellence, innovation, and business alignment.
  • Champion secure-by-design practices, zero-trust principles, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while leveraging automation, intelligent workflows, and data-driven insights to improve service reliability, efficiency, and support outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
