Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Lead Engineer, based at our Worship Street office, central London, overseeing maintenance activities, managing reactive responses, and carrying out fault diagnosis and analysis across building operations.

You will be working in the Building Services Operating Unit, in the Commercial Property Maintenance (CPM) department, delivering nationwide facilities management, including M&E support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, using technology for efficient planned and reactive services.

Key Responsibilities

As The Lead Engineer, You Will

• Maintain and service the site’s electrical infrastructure on a day-to-day basis, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault analysis within agreed service level agreements.
• Inspect, test, adjust, and maintain electrical plant and systems in line with contract requirements and engineering best practice.
• Apply Safe Systems of Work consistently, effectively in all tasks carried out under the contract, and assist with subcontractor inductions and help ensure all personnel are deployed safely on site.
• Respond to reactive works and complete additional tasks as required, in line with engineering standards, HASAWA legislation, and Skanska’s Our Way of Working.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and Skanska’s Injury-Free Environment (IFE).
