Lead Environment & Release Engineer - 3 Month Contract - Hybrid/Warwickshire
Type: 3 Month Contract
Day Rate: Market Rates (Outside IR35)
Location: Warwickshire

We are seeking an experienced Lead Environment & Release Engineer to spearhead their release management processes and enhance their continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of software delivery within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of software release strategies, ensuring smooth transitions between environments.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline build and deployment processes.
- Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate and optimize software delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software releases, build failures, and environment configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee environment provisioning and management, ensuring all environments are optimized for performance and reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance release management processes.

- Proven experience in a Lead Environment & Release Engineer role or similar capacity, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
