Location: Site Based - London

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid

About the Role

Reporting to the UK ES Manager, this role ensures on-site environmental compliance and provides expert guidance while championing H&MV’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts regular audits, inspections, and aspect impact assessments to meet regulatory, company and client standards.
  • Delivers on-site training and toolbox talks to prevent incidents and promote sustainability.
  • Tracks project performance through regular reporting and feedback.
  • Investigates environmental incidents to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and serves as the project escalation point for ES concerns.
  • Cultivates strong stakeholder and team partnerships to drive project success and professional synergy.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in environmental or sustainability role, ideally within a Civils or Engineering business
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience conducting environmental audits, performance monitoring, and risk assessments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development, with a growth mindset
