Product Design transforms complex financial workflows into intuitive solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Our global Product Design team operates as a centralized center of excellence with distributed impact. We maintain unified standards and processes globally while embedding designers directly within product teams for deep collaboration and contextual expertise. This approach lets us maintain consistency across SimCorp's product ecosystem while scaling expertise efficiently across markets and time zones.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Lead design for a major product area while balancing hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities.

Design Leadership

  • Own user experience strategy for a major product area
  • Lead design for complex features and user workflows
  • Establish design quality standards and review processes
  • Drive design system adoption within product area
  • Typically focused on one or a few products or features.
  • Leads one or several other designers on specific projects to oversee day-to-day design work and ensure alignment with product goals.

Team/Project Leadership

  • Provide design direction and mentorship to designers
  • Facilitate design critiques and collaborative design sessions
  • Support experience designers' professional development
  • Coordinate design work across multiple feature teams
  • Strong tactical and operational influence within specific product team(s) and project(s).

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborates closely with product managers to create and iterate on interaction solutions that solve complex workflows
  • Ensure those solutions are tested and validated with end users.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leads on implementation planning
  • Present design recommendations to senior stakeholders

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Navigate between high-level strategy and detailed execution
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable interfaces
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive stakeholder consensus
  • Take ownership of projects while contributing to our collective design practice
  • Leverage the latest in AI tools to prototype interactive concepts and accelerate to user validation as quickly as possible

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of design experience with leadership capabilities
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow solutions
  • Experience mentoring junior and mid-level designers
  • Experience getting the most from AI tools in crafting creative solutions
  • Deep understanding of user research and usability testing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
