Your Job
As the Lead, Field Application Engineer (FAE) — Molex ADS, you will lead a team that will perform as technical bridge between customers and the Molex sales, product management and engineering teams. The FAE team will partner with customers to address technical concerns, shape specifications, steer selections and help the customer successfully design and deploy an ADS solution. In this role, you will be triage questions from customers and sales before involving internal cross functional team members.
Our Team
You will be part of the Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS) commercial organization, working closely with Territory Managers, Account Managers, Global Account Managers (GAM), Global Sales & Marketing (GSM), Distribution partners, and Sales Enablement. The team is focused on driving profitable growth through strong territory plan execution, customer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop the Field Application Engineer team to translate customer application needs into technically credible solution
- Negotiate what the customers wants/needs versus our capabilities
- Build strong working relationships with customer engineering teams and become a trusted technical advisor
- Partner closely with account managers, territory managers, the GSM team, and Distribution to ensure sufficient technical support on account priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product line management, supply chain, and customer service to deliver integrated solutions that meet all requirements
- Provide regular feedback to product management on challenges and opportunities with the products and where required assist with creating technical support collaterals e.g. white papers or videos to support customers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Located in UK or Nordics.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering — or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, including leadership or team lead responsibility.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, environmental and EMI/ EMC requirements.
- Aerospace & defense standards and qualification knowledge.
- Ability to lead technical design reviews and technical discussions.
- Ability to manage technical escalations.
- Ability to mentor and technically lead other FAE’s.
- Strong coordination with Account Managers, Territory Managers, the GSM team, Product Management, Quality and Operations.
- Commercial awareness: Identify design-in opportunities and future business.
- Excellent customer communication and presentation skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in aerospace & defense, industrial, electronics, or related technical markets.
- Experience leading or developing FAE teams in a territory-based model.
- Strong connector/ interconnect engineering experience.
- Strong technical aptitude to collaborate effectively with product management, quality and operations.
