Role Description

As Lead Filmmaker at WANDER, you will oversee the end-to-end creation of video content, from concept development and storyboarding through to filming, directing, and post-production. You will collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and social teams to produce campaigns and ongoing content that align with brand objectives and resonate across digital platforms. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Middlesbrough, with a mix of on-site production work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in directing, cinematography, and on-set leadership, with experience guiding crews and talent to deliver high-impact visual stories.
  • Proficiency in pre-production planning, including concept development, scripting, storyboarding, shot lists, and production scheduling.
  • Advanced post-production skills, such as video editing, sound design coordination, color grading, and managing feedback rounds.
  • Experience creating content for digital and social platforms, with an understanding of campaign objectives, audience engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, creative environment, with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative filmmaking for brands or agencies.
  • Familiarity with professional camera systems, lighting setups, and production equipment; ability to troubleshoot technical issues on set.
  • Relevant education or training in film, media production, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent professional experience is highly valued.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid pattern based in Middlesbrough, including travel for shoots and occasional flexible hours to meet production needs.
