About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide commercial insight, financial analysis, and strategic support across the business. Working closely with operational and management teams, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping drive performance through effective reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering. This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making, challenge stakeholders, and support key investment and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational and management teams to provide financial insight and challenge
  • Support decision-making by identifying risks and opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management reports
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
  • Produce KPI reporting and business performance analysis
  • Support business cases, investment appraisals, and ROI analysis
  • Assist with capital expenditure planning and forecasting
  • Contribute to business strategy and commercial decision-making
  • Support month-end processes, management accounts, and reporting deadlines
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
  • Assist with audit requirements and maintain financial controls
  • Manage Used Car revenue and Cost of Sales reporting
  • Support the financial analysis of vehicle defleet and auction activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Contribute positively to the wider finance team

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant, or part-qualified with significant relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong financial analysis capability
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous Finance Business Partner experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience preparing investment appraisals, business cases, and ROI analysis
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or similar financial reporting systems
  • Experience managing capital expenditure budgets and forecasts
  • Automotive, retail, FMCG, or distribution industry experience
