As a Senior Fire Safety Consultant (Building Safety), you will contribute as part of a specialist team of multi-disciplinary professionals supporting our diverse range of clients.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Extensive experience of Fire Safety within the built environment
  • Fire risk assessment experience in high-rise residential buildings
  • Experience of undertaking fire safety related work at residential buildings over 7 storeys
  • Completed design and retrospective fire strategy review across residential and multi-use premises
  • Completed fire management plans for residential and multi-use premises
  • Undertaken or reviewed FRAEW in accordance with PAS9980 (desirable)
  • Experience with BS9997 Fire safety management systems
  • Knowledge of the Construction Gateway process
  • Have the ability to recognise the importance of accurate and reliable documented information, including knowing how to deal with missing information and assess the suitability of information management systems
  • Ability to deliver direction on high-level consulting projects and assignments as required
  • An understanding of the environment in which a building operates including the legal framework, responsibilities and accountabilities, due diligence, evidence management and verification, safety management, and information management
  • An understanding of the practical measures for fire prevention/ protection and structural safety and be comfortable working with structural safety professionals
  • Desire and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions for our clients

Qualifications And Memberships

  • Full member of a relevant institution, such as the IFE or IFSM
  • Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety Diploma (or equivalent) such as FPA-E Dip, etc.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and report writing ability
  • Capability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions for our clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and report writing ability as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations
