About NS RTC

North Somerset Regional Talent Centre (NS RTC) is an established football development programme providing talented young players from across North Somerset and the surrounding area with access to high-quality coaching and development opportunities.

Our programme bridges the gap between grassroots and academy football, giving players the opportunity to train within a structured, challenging and supportive environment while maintaining their connection with their grassroots clubs.

Players benefit from UEFA-qualified coaching and a competitive games programme that includes fixtures against professional academies, regional development centres and other high-quality opposition. Our focus is on individual player development, creating opportunities for players to progress when they are ready while recognising that every player's pathway will be different.

NS RTC forms part of a wider football pathway which extends from our youngest age groups through youth football and into our Post-16 Football & Education Programme, with further opportunities to progress towards senior football.

Alongside developing players, we are committed to developing our coaches. We want our coaching team to share ideas, learn from one another and continually improve the environment we provide for our young players.

The Role

As a Lead Football Coach, you will take responsibility for a designated NS RTC team or age group, leading training and matchday delivery.

Working within the NS RTC football philosophy, you will create a positive and challenging environment that supports individual player development and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate coaching sessions.
  • Support the technical, tactical and personal development of individual players.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive environment where players are encouraged to learn and challenge themselves.

Matchdays

  • Lead the team during fixtures and tournaments.
  • Be available for scheduled matchdays and demonstrate flexibility where fixtures, venues or timings change.
  • Manage players and the matchday environment professionally.
  • Use matchdays as an opportunity to support player development.
  • Represent NS RTC positively when dealing with officials, opposition and parents.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
