We have an exciting opportunity for a job share - Safeguarding Adults Lead and Prevent, and we are welcoming applications from suitably qualified staff who are passionate and motivated to make a difference to our most vulnerable adults and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for Oxleas safeguarding adult and Prevent policies and procedures including assurance that the trust is compliant with all statutory requirements under legislation.
- Have a key responsibility for the coordination, management, implementation and monitoring of the trust’s strategy for safeguarding adults.
- Monitor safeguarding adult activity, developing robust consistent safeguarding practice in line with best practice and statutory requirements.
- Provide expert advice, supervision and support on safeguarding adult matters, working together with liaising with key professionals and partner agencies.
- Actively contribute towards the quality and assurance agenda including training, audit, collection and analysis of relevant data.
- Contribute to Safeguarding children practice reviews, Domestic homicide reviews, Safeguarding Adult reviews, Learning reviews and Serious incident investigations.
- Work in close partnership with external stakeholders towards ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements.
- Lead and have line management responsibility for Specialist safeguarding nurses/ practitioners.

Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies.
