Lead Forward Deployed Engineer
Enterprise AI Scale-up • London (Hybrid) • Visa sponsorship available
We are looking for a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer for one of the fastest-growing enterprise AI businesses in the market. This is for a seasoned operator who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and real-world impact, and who can own the last mile of implementation where the competitive moat is actually built.
This is a lead, client-facing role for someone who has already spent years deploying complex data and AI solutions inside large enterprises, ideally a lead Palantir (Foundry / AIP) consultant or equivalent, and is ready to own the hardest engagements end to end. You will work shoulder to shoulder with industry leaders to embed the platform deep into their operations, turning strategic intent into live systems that drive measurable results.
You will not just ship software. You will be the person who turns it into scale, and who sets the standard for how the business deploys.
About the Company
Our client is transforming how large organisations make data-driven decisions. Their platform integrates complex internal and external datasets into a single environment, enabling businesses to strengthen their long-term strategies through clear, actionable insight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The founder previously built and led a billion-dollar division, and saw first-hand how much value is lost between strategy and execution. The company exists to close that gap. It is backed by top-tier investors and already trusted by Fortune 500 industrial leaders.
Why the FDE model matters here. Most enterprise software companies hand over a platform and walk away. Our client embeds the people who make it work inside the customer’s business. The Forward Deployed Engineer is not a support function here, it is the centre of how they win.
What You Will Do
- Own the hardest enterprise deployments end to end, from discovery through to live systems running in production.
- Run discovery with senior stakeholders, shape scope, and translate ambiguous strategic problems into technical delivery plans.
- Build data integrations and pipelines using PySpark, Python and SQL, working with complex internal and third-party datasets.
- Design and implement AIP and workflow-driven solutions that put the platform deep into the customer’s operations.
- Be the senior technical voice in the room with executive stakeholders, and the person the customer trusts when something is hard.
- Set the standard for how the business deploys, raising delivery quality and mentoring engineers around you.
- Feed the field back into the product, turning what you learn on the front line into what gets built next.

What We Are Looking For
- Typically 7+ years deploying complex data and AI solutions inside large enterprises.
- Lead-level Palantir (Foundry / AIP) experience strongly preferred, or an equivalent enterprise data platform background.
- Strong hands-on Python, PySpark and SQL. This is a building role, not an advisory one.
- A track record of owning engagements end to end rather than delivering a defined slice of someone else’s plan.
- Genuine credibility with senior stakeholders, comfortable challenging and influencing at executive level.
- Experience mentoring engineers and setting delivery standards.
- The temperament for ambiguity, speed and high autonomy. This is a startup, not a programme office.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus stock options.
- London hybrid working.
- Visa sponsorship available for the right person.
- The chance to shape a category-defining product at an early stage, with direct access to the founder.
- A committed net-zero pledge and a team that takes it seriously.
