Lead Front-End Developer | React & TypeScript | Multi-Vendor Payments Platform for Events & Hospitality

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

Location: London, hybrid. 2-3 days on site through probation, then 1 day a week on site after that

Permanent, full-time

Our client builds point-of-sale and payment technology for busy, high-volume venues, the systems that keep queues moving when thousands of people all want to pay at once. It handles mobile and fixed tills, offline transactions, fast payouts, and real-time reporting, and they want a Lead Front-End Developer to own the frontend across the whole product.

You will set the front-end architecture across their portal and mobile ordering products, mentor a small team, and own the calls on tooling, standards, and release pipelines. You will work in React and TypeScript, sit close to product and design, and integrate APIs, payment flows, and live data with the backend team. It is a startup, so you will balance speed against quality every day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Join

You own the front end outright: the architecture, the design system, the standards the team codes to. The business is scaling, so what you ship now shapes the product for years, and you see it in the field the moment the gates open.

It suits someone who wants autonomy and accountability over process. If you need heavy structure and long sign-off chains, this is not the seat.
