Lead Full Stack Engineer (Contract) - Outside IR35

Location: Leeds (2 days on site)
Contract type: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial 3 month contract (Chance to extend)
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Business

Our client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS business developing innovative software that helps organisations manage complex procurement and supplier relationships. Their platform streamlines workflows, improves collaboration, and provides end-to-end contract management with robust audit and compliance capabilities.

The business has partnered with a specialist technology consultancy to accelerate product development and is now looking to bring in an experienced full-stack contractor to work alongside this delivery team.

The Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer who can operate at lead level within a small, high-velocity delivery team. This is a hands-on technical role, you'll be writing and reviewing code day-to-day, you'll also be expected to bring lead-level judgement to architecture, code quality, and delivery practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team ships weekly, runs discovery ahead of delivery, and has embedded rapid, AI-assisted prototyping into everyday workflows. You should be someone who already uses AI coding tools as a core part of how you work, not as an experiment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship features across the full stack for a live, evolving SaaS platform
  • Operate at a lead level: setting technical direction, reviewing code, and raising the bar on quality and delivery pace
  • Work closely with the delivery consultancy and internal team within a weekly release cadence
  • Participate in discovery ahead of delivery, helping shape solutions before build begins
  • Use AI-assisted coding tools and rapid prototyping techniques as a core part of the day-to-day workflow
  • Contribute to decisions around architecture, technical debt, and platform scalability
  • Support a culture of fast, iterative, quality-focused delivery
