Be the first response when our customers need us most!

As our Lead Gas Engineer, you'll play a vital role within our Emergency Response team, helping to keep customers safe when they need us most. This isn't just about responding to gas escapes and carbon monoxide alarms – it's about providing reassurance, expertise and support during critical situations.

Covering the Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire areas, you'll work across a varied operational patch, supporting customers and communities whenever and wherever you're needed.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work across emergency response, metering activities, safety inspections and network operations while leading by example and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer care. The role also includes participation in a 1-in-4 standby rota, ensuring support is available when our customers need us most.

Why you'll love this role:

  • Safety Leadership – Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and procedures.
  • Community Focus – Work closely with customers, emergency services and other stakeholders to deliver the right outcomes.
  • Problem Solving – Use your technical expertise and judgement to assess situations and take appropriate action.
  • Professional Development – Continue to develop your skills and experience within a supportive operational team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
