Department: Cadent

Location: Leicester

Description

As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, which makes you the face of our brand for people who are worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sometimes you’ll be dealing with the emergency services on behalf of our customers, making you part of a team that’s responsible for protecting people’s lives.
  • They could be vulnerable, elderly, or simply looking for help, and it’s that level of empathy, plus the pride you’ll feel from caring for people and keeping them safe in their homes that could make you a Cadent person.
  • It’s a role where no two days are the same, so from installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for our home and business customers, to high rise and gas safety regulation surveys, to fitting cooker safety valves, when we say it’s a varied role, we mean it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
