Lead Generation & Business Development Executive
Location: London, UK
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Generation & Business Development Executive to help identify, engage and qualify new business opportunities across the UK and Europe. This role is focused on creating high-quality sales opportunities through targeted outreach, market research, account penetration and relationship building with senior decision-makers. You will play a critical role in helping Coforge open doors into new organisations, build pipeline and create opportunities that convert into long-term client relationships.
Working closely with sales leaders, industry specialists, solution teams and marketing, you will be responsible for generating qualified meetings and opportunities that support Coforge's continued growth across a range of industry sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious business development professional looking to develop a successful career within enterprise technology sales.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Pipeline Creation
- Identify and engage prospective clients across target industries and markets.
- Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities through proactive outbound activity.
- Research target organisations, key decision-makers, business priorities and transformation initiatives.
- Build and manage target account lists aligned to growth objectives.
- Execute targeted outreach campaigns using telephone, email, LinkedIn, industry events and networking activities.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales organisation.
- Create account-entry strategies that help establish relationships with key stakeholders.
Prospect Engagement
- Initiate and develop conversations with senior business and technology decision-makers.
- Understand client challenges, business priorities and technology investment plans.
- Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria before introducing them to the sales team.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and nurture opportunities through the early stages of the sales cycle.
- Position Coforge's capabilities in a clear, relevant and commercially focused manner.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification
- Monitor industry trends, market activity and business developments to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing teams to follow up on campaigns, events, webinars and lead-generation initiatives.
- Leverage market intelligence, social selling and digital channels to uncover potential sales opportunities.
- Identify organisations undergoing change, growth, transformation or technology modernisation programmes.
- Share market insights with internal stakeholders to support business development efforts.

Sales Collaboration
- Partner with sales leaders to support new business acquisition strategies.
- Work alongside solution architects, industry specialists and marketing teams to strengthen client engagement.
- Ensure qualified opportunities are effectively transitioned into the sales process.
- Maintain accurate records and activity updates within CRM systems.
- Contribute to territory plans, target account strategies and pipeline reviews.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for energetic, commercially minded individuals who enjoy engaging with prospective clients, creating opportunities and building new relationships. You may currently be working as a:
- Business Development Executive
- Sales Development Representative (SDR)
- Business Development Representative (BDR)
- Lead Generation Executive
- Inside Sales Executive
- Technology Sales Executive
- Outbound Sales Executive
- Business Development Associate
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in lead generation, business development, inside sales, SDR, BDR or technology sales roles.
- Experience working within an IT services, consulting, digital transformation, software or technology solutions environment.
- Proven experience generating qualified meetings and sales opportunities through outbound activity.
- Experience using multiple prospecting channels including telephone, email, LinkedIn and networking events.
- Comfortable engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience using tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft or similar platforms.
- Strong interest in technology and digital transformation.
Experience or exposure to areas such as the following would be advantageous:
