Lead Generation & Marketing Executive

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Oxford or Solihull (1 day per week in either office, 4 days working from home)
Contract: Full Time
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

About the Opportunity

Are you a proactive marketer with a passion for lead generation, digital campaigns and business growth?

We're looking for a Lead Generation & Marketing Executive to play a key role in supporting the continued growth of a successful training and development business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining marketing, research and commercial activity to generate quality opportunities for a sales team.

Working closely with the Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering targeted campaigns, developing prospect databases, producing engaging content and generating qualified leads through email, LinkedIn and digital outreach.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

Campaign Management

  • Plan and deliver targeted email and LinkedIn marketing campaigns.
  • Build and maintain campaign calendars aligned with business priorities.
  • Create engaging email campaigns, newsletters and nurture sequences.
  • Segment audiences and personalise content to maximise engagement.
  • Analyse campaign performance and continually optimise results.

Lead Generation & Prospect Research

  • Research target organisations and identify potential training needs.
  • Identify and engage decision-makers across HR, Learning & Development, Operations and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Generate opportunities through email outreach, LinkedIn activity, inbound enquiries and follow-up campaigns.
  • Qualify opportunities before passing them to the Business Development Manager.
  • Provide detailed prospect intelligence and recommended next steps.

Content & Social Media

  • Create and manage engaging LinkedIn content that promotes training programmes and supports lead-generation activity.
  • Develop content calendars and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
  • Produce campaign copy, social media content, landing pages and marketing collateral.
  • Monitor social engagement and identify potential commercial opportunities.

CRM, Reporting & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prospect databases.
  • Track campaign performance and lead-generation activity.
  • Produce regular reports and insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.

Marketing Technology & AI

  • Utilise AI tools to support campaign delivery, prospect research and content creation.
  • Review and refine AI-generated content to ensure quality and brand alignment.
  • Develop templates, workflows and processes that improve efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with company data protection and information security policies.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in marketing, lead generation, sales support or a similar commercial role.
  • Experience creating and managing email marketing campaigns.
  • Strong research and database management skills.
  • Confidence using LinkedIn for marketing and lead-generation activities.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and commercially-minded approach.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within apprenticeships, training, education or Learning & Development.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience using AI tools to support marketing activity and lead generation.

  • Delivering successful marketing campaigns with strong engagement rates.
  • Growing and maintaining a high-quality prospect database.
