Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lead Generator role based in the Media City, Salford, United Kingdom. The Lead Generator will identify and qualify potential SME clients through outbound calls, emails, and networking activities, focusing on businesses that can benefit from fair and transparent utility advice. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching target markets, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, and nurturing early-stage relationships to book meetings for the advisory team. The role involves working closely with sales and consulting colleagues to align lead generation efforts with current campaigns and service offerings. The Lead Generator will also provide feedback from prospects to help refine messaging and support continuous improvement of outreach strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with business stakeholders.
  • Experience in lead generation, telesales, or business development, ideally within utilities, energy, or professional services.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prospects and follow-ups effectively.
  • Comfort working with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic office software to track and analyze lead activity.
  • Ability to understand and explain simple utility and cost-saving concepts in clear, jargon-free language.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with resilience in handling objections and rejection.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to transparent, client-first advice.
  • Education or training in sales, business, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in the Manchester Area market or with SME clients is an advantage.
