Lead Guidewire Consultant, Cloud Data Access (CDA) | UK | Inside IR35 | 12 Months+
Guidewire CDA specialists, this is a rare one worth reading properly.
A leading consultancy is looking for a Lead Guidewire Consultant to drive a major insurance transformation programme, with Cloud Data Access at the centre of it. This isn't a build and walk away role, you'll be shaping the data strategy itself and sitting close to senior stakeholders throughout.
Why look twice:
- UK based, roughly two days a week onsite in London
- Inside IR35, freelance or B2B contract
- 12 month initial term with strong scope to extend
- Genuine transformation programme, not a bolt on data task
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the design and delivery of Guidewire Cloud Data Access solutions
- Defining data strategy and architecture across Guidewire Cloud implementations
- Partnering with data engineering, analytics and business teams on reporting and insight
- Setting technical direction on data extraction, modelling and integration
- Supporting cloud migration and modernisation work
- Working directly with senior stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions
- Embedding governance, security and data quality best practice throughout

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
