Head Housekeeper

Contract: Full-time, live-out

Salary: Excellent salary for the right candidate

Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally meticulous, well-presented, and highly professional Housekeeper for a high-end private residence in Central London.

This role requires someone with excellent housekeeping standards, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with confidence. The successful candidate must be self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of their duties without needing constant direction.

The household is looking for someone discreet, polished, and reliable, with a genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home. This would suit a Housekeeper who understands luxury private household standards, notices the smallest details, and is able to keep a residence immaculate, organized, and guest-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full housekeeping to an exceptional standard
  • Maintaining all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and guest areas immaculately
  • Laundry, ironing, pressing, and wardrobe support
  • Care of delicate fabrics, fine finishes, and high-quality materials
  • Ensuring the residence is always beautifully presented and guest-ready
  • Organising cupboards, storage areas, and household items
  • Monitoring household supplies and reporting what is needed
  • Supporting deep cleaning schedules and seasonal organisation
  • Working independently and taking ownership of daily duties
  • Liaising respectfully with other staff, contractors, or service providers when required
  • Maintaining discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times

Schedule

  • Full-time, live-out role
  • Rota position
  • 5 days per week
  • Weekend work will be required as part of the rota
  • Flexibility required depending on household needs

  • Strong private household housekeeping experience

  • Confident working independently and taking initiative

  • Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Strong laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care skills
  • Able to maintain a residence to luxury standards

  • Comfortable working as part of a rota, including weekend cover where required
