About The Role
We are seeking a talented Lead Integration Developer to join our growing team at our Head Office in Blackburn, with support to our various sites. This pivotal role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions that enable secure, scalable, and reliable connectivity across diverse business applications, data platforms, and external systems. The successful candidate will define and uphold integration architecture standards, governance practices, and best practices that facilitate operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and support our ongoing digital transformation initiatives. Drawing on strong technical leadership, the Lead Integration Developer will ensure that integration solutions are resilient, maintainable, and aligned with strategic business objectives, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of integration architecture principles and enterprise integration patterns. Experience in designing API-led service and oriented integrations is essential. Candidates should have familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with associated integration services. A solid knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles is required. Technical proficiency in implementing secure integration solutions using authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques is necessary. Experience working within agile delivery frameworks and employing encryption techniques is highly desirable. Educational background should include relevant certifications or degrees in computer science, information technology, or related fields. Additionally, experience with integration platforms as a service (iPaaS), API design and management, REST, JSON, SOAP, SQL, ETL pipelines, Python, and C# will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Define the integration architecture, establish standards, patterns, and best practices. Design scalable, resilient, and secure integration solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. Develop comprehensive integration roadmaps to support future growth.
- System Integration: Integrate critical business systems utilizing APIs, REST services, ETL processes, event-driven architectures, and middleware technologies. Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and maintain governance frameworks, documentation, and development standards for integration projects. Define data mapping, transformation, monitoring, error handling, and exception management approaches.
- Performance & Reliability: Monitor and optimize the performance, throughput, and scalability of integration solutions. Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting data flows and system responsiveness.
- Vendor & Platform Management: Evaluate new integration technologies and third-party solutions. Manage relationships with vendors and platform providers to ensure optimal service delivery and support.
