Lead Integration Engineer - 12 Month FTC

Who We Are:

AND Digital are a tech company focused on accelerating digital delivery and dedicated to closing the digital skills gap. We’ve been helping organisations build better digital products and stronger digital teams since 2014.

We believe our work should always leave a legacy for the client. We do this through close relationships with our offices (or ‘Clubs’) so that our partners are always prioritised by a regional team close to them.

This unique model has driven success for our clients and ourselves, evidenced by our remarkable organic growth since 2014. Today we number more than 1,300 people with Clubs all over the UK and Europe with plans for global expansion in the next couple of years.

Join us - and help us fulfil our mission to close the world’s digital skills gap.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Integration Engineer to take a leading role in designing, delivering and supporting robust integration solutions across our technology estate.

The role will be responsible for enabling seamless and reliable interaction between source systems, the Accounts platform and downstream consumers. You will provide technical leadership across integration design and delivery, establish resilient integration patterns, and help ensure that information is exchanged securely, consistently and reliably across multiple platforms and teams.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical integration expertise with the ability to influence and collaborate with architects, engineers, product teams and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient and maintainable system integrations.
  • Define and promote integration patterns, standards and best practices across the technology estate.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other integration engineers and delivery teams.
  • Design and support API-led and event-driven integration architectures.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, interfaces and integration services connecting source systems, the Accounts platform and downstream consumers.
  • Own and govern schemas, interface contracts and integration specifications, ensuring consistency and interoperability.
  • Design and implement event publication and consumption mechanisms.
  • Ensure integrations are designed with appropriate resilience, scalability, security, observability and performance in mind.
  • Establish effective approaches to error handling, retry, replay, monitoring and operational recovery.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of complex integration issues across multiple systems and teams.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, product owners and technical stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective integration solutions.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, architectural decisions and the continuous improvement of the organisation's integration capability.
  • Support knowledge sharing, technical mentoring and the development of engineering standards and practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
