You Will Already Have Extensive Experience And Understanding Of

• Leading interaction design across large, complex or mission-critical services, helping multidisciplinary teams deliver accessible, user-centred and effective digital services.
• Providing leadership, direction and support to designers and teams, including managing, mentoring and developing senior designers through complex delivery challenges.
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and helping organisations balance user needs, accessibility, technical constraints and delivery priorities.
• Deep expertise in interaction design practice, including designing accessible, user-centred services and applying core design approaches such as prototyping, journey mapping, iterative design and working with modern web technologies.
• Designing inclusive and accessible services, and using research, evidence and feedback to shape, test and improve design decisions.
• Design assurance and influencing through design, including reviewing work, improving quality and consistency across programmes and services, and clearly communicating decisions, challenging assumptions and supporting teams to work through complexity and ambiguity.

Leeds Locations

Moves Adjustment Payment will be available for this role, provided the successful applicant is a current HMRC colleague in Bradford and meets the eligibility requirements outlined in the HMRC's Moves Adjustment Payment guidance.

Sift

In the event of a large number of applications being received, an initial sift may be held on your CV.

At full sift your CV and your Personal Statement will be assessed with successful candidates invited to interview.

Interview

Successful candidates who meet the required standard will be invited to a video interview via Microsoft Teams where your Technical skills and your experience will be assessed.

During The Interview We Will Ask You To

• Deliver a 20-minute showcase of two pieces of design work from your portfolio, demonstrating the technical skills required for the role. This should focus on your role, your thinking/process and the outcomes. Further details will be included with the invitation to interview.
• You will be asked questions to allow you to demonstrate your experience and technical skills relevant to the role, using visual examples from your work where possible (for example prototypes, diagrams, journey maps or screenshots)

Interviews will take place via video link. Sift and interview dates to be confirmed.
