Position Available: Lead IT Buyer
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 (DoE) + Bonus
Experience needed:
Strong procurement experience across IT, software, SaaS, hardware, or digital services, including managing sourcing activity, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements.
About the role:
We're looking for a Senior IT Buyer to lead procurement activity across a varied portfolio of technology and digital spend.
You'll manage the procurement process from initial requirements through to supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award. Working closely with technical stakeholders and suppliers in the UK and internationally, you'll help secure strong commercial outcomes across software, SaaS, hardware, and wider digital services.

You'll join a collaborative international procurement function offering professional development and sponsorship towards MCIPS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activity across IT and digital categories
- Manage tenders, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract awards
- Partner with IT, digital, and commercial stakeholders to understand requirements
- Develop sourcing strategies that deliver value, quality, and reduced commercial risk
- Manage supplier relationships and support contract performance
- Analyse spend and identify opportunities for savings and improvement
- Support procurement activity across UK and international suppliers

What we need from you:
- Strong experience purchasing IT, software, SaaS, hardware, or digital services
- Experience leading competitive tenders and supplier negotiations
- Good understanding of technology contracts and commercial agreements
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Confidence operating within a complex or matrixed organisation
- MCIPS qualification or a willingness to work towards it
