Role: Lead Java Developer (Contract)

Rate: £550 per day Inside IR35

Location: Glasgow or London (2 Days Onsite)

Length: Initial 3-Month Contract

We're currently supporting a leading consultancy partner on a large-scale engagement within the Wealth and Asset Management sector. They are looking for a Senior/Lead Java Developer to join the team and play a key role in delivering critical technology initiatives. This opportunity would suit an experienced, hands-on developer who is comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and contributing at a lead level while remaining actively involved in development.

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in Java development
  • Strong expertise with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Proven experience building and integrating APIs
  • Strong database development and integration experience
  • Experience working with AWS and cloud-based environments
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerisation technologies
  • Comfortable operating as a senior or lead-level developer in a hands-on capacity
  • Ability to work from the London office two days per week
  • Willingness to provide production support, including occasional out-of-hours and weekend release support
