Software Developer Specialising in Crypto, FX, and eFX
Harrington Starr have partnered with an innovative firm to recruit a Software Developer specialising in Crypto, FX, and eFX currently developing high-performing trading systems. We’re looking for a skilled Java or Quant Developer with a strong background in computer science to contribute to the development of future algorithms.
Role Overview
This role offers an exciting, hands-on engineering position for those with a knack for solving difficult problems while also providing exposure to modern technologies and financial markets. You will be directly involved in affecting trading outcomes, so we are looking for an engineer who has operated closely or has great experience in a trading desk.

Key Responsibilities
- Core Java development and market connectivity experience
- Experience with multi-threading
- Experience on low latency trading systems
- Experience in TDD/BDD
- Designing trading systems
- Strong computer science/STEM background
- Supporting knowledge of Linux & Bash Scripting

About the Role
An engineer from a financial services environment with a strong understanding of trading systems, ability to solve problems, and eager for a hands-on role who will add to their Software Engineering team in their London Office. You will be directly responsible for affecting the business and their trading outcomes.
