Our client is an award-winning landscape architecture practice with an established presence in London and Manchester, working on schemes across the UK and internationally.
Their projects span a range of exterior places and spaces including mixed-use, residential, master-planning, workplace, commercial, public realm, leisure, meanwhile use, and town centres.
The Role
A strategic senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute and entrepreneurial Landscape Architect who can lead and grow the Manchester office, win new work and make an immediate impact.

You will work closely with senior Directors in London while having the autonomy to shape the Manchester business plan and play a significant role in its future growth.
You will complement the existing Manchester leadership team and play an important role in the longer-term succession planning of the office, with a genuine pathway towards Associate Director, Director and potentially Board-level responsibility.
You will be required to be an office presence in Manchester four days per week. This role is not suited to candidates seeking a predominantly remote or part time arrangement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
