About us
We’re a growing composites manufacturing business seeking an experienced, hands-on Composites Manufacturing & Quality Engineer to own manufacturing, engineering, and quality activities across the company.
The role
You’ll work closely with production staff, contractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure work is manufactured correctly, documented properly, and delivered to the required standard. This is a high-independence role for someone technically credible, organised, and confident to challenge ineffective processes.
Key responsibilities
- Own day-to-day manufacturing engineering and quality issues
- Provide practical technical support for composite manufacturing
- Investigate problems, establish root causes, and drive corrective actions
- Develop and improve work instructions, process records, and production documentation
- Design/modify jigs, fixtures, trim tools, and manufacturing aids using CAD
- Manage non-conformances, inspections, and customer documentation (CoC, packing lists, etc.)
- Monitor live projects and escalate risks before they affect delivery
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, rework, cost, and operational risk

About you
- Experience in composites manufacturing, process engineering, or related manufacturing
- Skilled in root-cause investigations, non-conformances, and quality documentation
- Proficient with CAD (Creo advantageous; SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA, NX also considered)
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, word, powerpoint, MRP software and document management software
- Confident, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
- ISO 9001/AS9100 and aerospace/automotive/motorsport/defence experience desirable
