You will be working in the Infrastructure function working on our Anglian Water Project. Through our role in the @one Alliance, we’re helping Anglian Water deliver a £2.6 billion investment in vital infrastructure. From civil works to water treatment facilities, this programme strengthens environmental protection across the East of England - safeguarding water resources for generations to come.
We are currently looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Manager who will deliver projects safely, on time, and sustainably - driving efficiency and strong performance without compromising governance.
As Lead Mechanical Design Manager, You Will
- Deliver projects with stakeholders on time, on budget, and to the right quality standards.
- Champion innovation, digital tools, and smarter ways of working to improve project outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers within the mechanical team.
- Review design outputs for quality, safety, and compliance, while supporting commissioning and CDM strategies.
- Build strong networks across the @one Alliance and drive sustainable, modular design solutions.

What You'll Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with proven mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong leadership capability, with a track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and engineering best practice.
- Proficient in CAD software and other key engineering tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
