Position Overview
Design the mechanical structures, linear motors, and active force-feedback mechanisms that allow us to test PCBs. Lead the design, development and testing of complex robotic systems and mechatronic sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
- Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into unified robotic platforms.
- Program and optimize industrial robotic systems (4-axis and 6-axis automation).
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot, fault-find, and developmental robotic installations.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Mastery of 3D CAD (Inventor/SolidWorks) with a focus on vibration dampening and structural rigidity.
- Experience developing active force-sensing end effectors for delicate surface contact.
Desirable
- Experience in one or more of:
- PCB manufacturing or electronic assembly
- Electrical testing of PCBs
- High-speed digital electronics
- Robotics and motion control
- Machine vision
- Precision metrology
- Automated test equipment (ATE)

Location
Onsite at our facility in Macclesfield, with regular attendance at our remote engineering facilities and customer sites as required.
