Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Senior Midwifery Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior midwifery leader to provide clinical and professional leadership, expert clinical advice, and management support to ensure that midwifery care is delivered to the highest standard across Inpatient services at St Thomas Hospital.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are the proactive and visible leadership and management of all resources across key areas of the midwifery service.

The Lead Midwife will be responsible for the teams within and the operational management and oversight of all Inpatient areas at St Thomas Hospital. These areas include:

The lead midwife will provide direct line management and support to 3 Matrons who oversee each area.

We have one of the largest NHS IVF units in the UK, which includes our flagship Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis services. Alongside our clinical services, we are integrated with colleagues at Kings College London, delivering a significant programme of research and development.
