Lead Network Engineer | £800 Per Day Inside IR35 | 6 Months | London | Hybrid

A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking a Lead Senior Network Engineer to support the delivery of critical network, security and infrastructure initiatives across a highly regulated environment. Acting as a senior technical lead within the connectivity function, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and enhancing enterprise network services across data centre, cloud and hybrid environments. This is a hands-on role that combines deep technical networking expertise with strong leadership capability, requiring an individual who can challenge effectively, influence technical direction and lead complex work streams independently. You'll engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior technology leadership and CTO-level executives, providing guidance across key areas including Cisco, Arista, firewalls, data centre networking, cloud connectivity and modern network architecture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
