Role: VP, Lead Network Security Architect

Location: London, City - 3-4 days in office.
Details: Initial 6 month contract, with guaranteed conversion to perm within that period.
Perm salary: up to £120k
Initial contract rate: TBC
Requirements:
- Lead security architecture decisions across enterprise networks, including data centres, cloud environments, branch offices, and remote access solutions.
- Develop and maintain network security standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices.
- Drive the design, implementation, and rollout of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and micro-segmentation strategies.
- Define security requirements for secure connectivity solutions, including VPN, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud networking.
- Evaluate, recommend, and integrate emerging network security technologies and services.
- Provide architectural leadership for Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Network Access Control (NAC), DDoS protection, and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions.
- Design secure cloud and hybrid connectivity architectures that support business and security objectives.
- Define and implement security controls across multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Provide guidance on container and cloud-native networking security.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to ensure security is embedded into network and platform designs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on network security architecture, governance, and strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Zero Trust, SASE, network segmentation, and modern enterprise security frameworks.
- Apply strong technical expertise across TCP/IP, routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, secure networking protocols, and network segmentation.
- Bring 10+ years of experience within cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on network security architecture and engineering.
- Possess hands-on experience implementing and supporting network security technologies, including micro-segmentation and DDoS protection capabilities.
