Lead Nights Security Operations Operative

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Security Operations Centre Administrative Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role

The Range has invested in a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) to protect our people, assets, and operations nationwide. As a Nights Team Leader, you will oversee a team of SOC Operators, manage incident response and escalations, and ensure the effective operation of the SOC during night hours. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication, sound judgement, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SOC Nights Operators, ensuring the effective operation of the Security Operations Centre during night shifts.
• Act as the primary escalation point for security incidents, alarms, technical faults, and operational issues.
• Oversee CCTV, alarm systems, monitoring platforms, and routine system health checks, ensuring issues are responded to and escalated appropriately.
• Maintain accurate incident records, shift reports, and handovers, ensuring all activity is logged to company standards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and emergency services as required.
• Support the development and performance of team members, ensuring adherence to SOC procedures and best practice.
• Identify operational risks, technical issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, incident response procedures, GDPR, data protection requirements, and confidentiality standards.
