(Lead) NOC Engineer / Senior Network Operations Engineer

We are looking for a (Lead) NOC Engineer / Senior Network Operations Engineer with fluent Russian & English to join our Network Operations team.

In this role, you will work with production ISP networks, perform hands-on troubleshooting, assist in planned network changes and collaborate closely with senior engineers, NOC and external vendors.

What you’ll do:

  • Rapid identification, diagnosis, and resolution of L2/L3 network incidents.
  • Configuration and maintenance of customer services: BGP, VLAN/QinQ, L2VPN.
  • Interaction with external providers and upstream carriers.
  • Collaboration with monitoring and technical support teams.
  • Ticket escalation, tracking of service status and link availability.
  • Change management, technical documentation, and participation in on-call rotation.
  • Professional communication with internal teams, management, customers/providers in English and Russian.
  • Participation in network stability, scalability, and modernization initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of hands-on network infrastructure operations experience.
  • Strong routing and switching background.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista or similar network equipment.
  • Practical understanding of DWDM architecture, operating principles, and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, routing policies, BGP communities.
  • Knowledge of Segment Routing.
  • Experience with DDoS mitigation: Flowspec, traffic scrubbing.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting experience in production networks.
  • Scripting/automation skills: Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Understanding of network security principles and data protection methods.
  • Fluent Russian, Conversational English.

Nice to have:

  • Degree in IT, telecommunications, or related field.
  • Experience with large-scale network infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies/tools.
  • Experience optimizing and modernizing network environments.
  • Experience mentoring or leading network engineers/NOC specialists.
  • Strong continuous learning mindset.
