Nurse Clinical Lead – Newcastle

Location: Newcastle
Hours: 27–37 hours per week
Rate: £25–£27 per hour
System: SystmOne
Start Date: ASAP or following notice period

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nurse Clinical Lead to join a supportive and welcoming GP practice in Newcastle, caring for a patient population of approximately 16,000 patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is looking to take a genuine leadership role in rebuilding and developing the practice nursing team, while continuing to provide high-quality clinical care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical management of the practice nursing team, including Practice Nurses and HCAs, providing leadership, support, mentoring and supervision to help create a strong and effective nursing service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the practice nursing team.
  • Support, mentor and supervise new-to-practice nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Help develop and strengthen the nursing team and support effective team integration.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across community, secondary and social care services.
  • Undertake clinical duties within your scope of practice.
  • Deliver Chronic Disease Management and other core practice nursing services.
  • Support the practice in maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical governance.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of nursing services within the practice.

You should have:

  • Significant experience within Primary Care.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in Chronic Disease Management.
  • Previous experience supporting, mentoring or developing other nurses/healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for developing others.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience using SystmOne.
