Band 8A Lead Nurse - Older People and Stroke Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8A Lead Nurse within Older People and Stroke Services based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Role Overview
The Lead Nurse will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to nursing staff within Older People and Stroke Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to clinical and managerial teams
- Ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate and person-centred care
- Establish and maintain robust systems, policies, procedures, governance frameworks, health & safety standards, professional guidance, training and education strategies
- Ensure robust governance processes are in place to support the delivery and assurance of excellent person-centred care
Required Skills and Experience
- Registered nurse, educated to degree level or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a leadership role
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
