Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Governance and Medicines Safety

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join Airedale NHS Foundation Trust as Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Governance and Medicines Safety.

This senior role will provide professional leadership for medicines safety, clinical governance, medicines information and medicines-related assurance across the Trust. The post holder will work closely with pharmacy, medical, nursing, operational and corporate colleagues to reduce medicines-related harm, strengthen governance processes and support safe, effective medicines optimisation for patients.

The successful candidate will lead the Trust-wide medication safety agenda, support the Medication Safety Officer function, oversee medicines-related risk and assurance processes, and contribute to the development and implementation of medicines policies, procedures, PGDs and PSDs. The role also includes oversight of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee, formulary processes, support for Controlled Drug governance, and collaboration with clinical, operational and corporate teams to improve medicines safety.
