Lead Planner
HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd. and Murphy Joint Venture (HMJV)
London, New Cross
Full Time (45 hours per week)
£80,000 - £85,000 per annum depending on skills and experience (plus company car or car allowance)
About the role
HOCHTIEF and Murphy (HMJV) are looking to expand our project team with an experienced Lead Planner to be based in our London Power Tunnels (LPT2) project in New Cross, London.
You will provide support to the project management team through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling, and project performance reporting function for LPT2.
Within the role, you will:
- Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements
- Prepare visual material in support of planned methods
- Undertake programme risk analysis
You will define methods and establish competitive outputs, in consultation with other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances and cooperate with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.

The role requires you to be responsible for the production of external and internal programmes throughout the duration of LPT2 and review construction progress with input from the construction team, update programmes, and produce reports as necessary.
Please note: This role will be office based 5 days per week.
About you
It is essential that you have a relevant HNC Construction-related discipline or extensive experience in civil engineering contracting industry and have experience in tunnelling and ground engineering works.
You must have active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery along with a clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.

You must be competent in the use of industry software and be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project.
