Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Lead Planner to lead and develop the planning capability across the Nexos business. This newly created role combines hands-on planning delivery with the opportunity to shape and implement best practice, strengthen planning systems and processes, and take responsibility for the leadership, management, and development of the planning team.

Role Summary

  • Advising Project/Contract Managers and key contract stakeholders on the plan performance of the contract through plans, forecasts, histograms, analysis, control measures, S-curves, and reporting
  • Preparing and issuing plans and deliverables on time and to expected quality standards, including trending and schedule risk analysis with narrative
  • Establishing and developing good working relationships with client project controls counterparts and demonstrating high levels of professional conduct and discipline
  • Ownership of Planning Procedures and System Owner for Primavera P6
  • Challenge, manage, and develop individuals within the planning function to drive best practice and continuous improvement

We Are Looking For

  • Extensive planning experience gained from within the energy sector including Offshore and Renewable Energy Developers, Offshore Operators, and EPC contractors
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Primavera P6
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
  • Experience of leading and developing planning teams
  • Experience in a Project Planning role
  • Experience of “cradle to grave” project lifecycles
  • Strong working knowledge of project controls theory and practices
  • Experience writing and communicating procedures and work instructions

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Expert level Primavera P6 experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • HNC or higher qualifications preferred
