About Our Team
Our engineering team brings together experienced engineers, diverse perspectives, and a flat team structure that enables visibility and impact from day one. With 40–50 professionals across the practice, we deliver some of the most exciting projects in the market — from next-generation fintech payment platforms to global insurance systems deployed across multiple countries.
The role requires Security Clearance or ability to get SC in short timescales.
About the Role
The Lead Platform Engineer is responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise platforms supporting major client transformation programs.
Acting as both a technical leader and trusted client advisor, the role combines hands-on engineering, people leadership, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work directly with client stakeholders, architects, and programme teams to ensure platform solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of cloud and platform solutions for major client programs.
- Build trusted relationships with client technical and delivery stakeholders.
- Act as the senior platform engineering representative in client meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
- Provide technical leadership during discovery, architecture, mobilization, and delivery phases.
- Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers.
- Define platform standards, engineering patterns, and operational best practices.
- Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure platforms are secure, resilient, and compliant with client and regulatory requirements.
- Support solution development, estimates, bid responses, and technical assurance activities.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and programme leaders to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Act as the escalation point for critical platform and infrastructure issues.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience delivering cloud and platform solutions within complex enterprise environments (Azure / AWS).
- Demonstrable experience working directly with external clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading technical workshops and architecture discussions.
- Strong Azure expertise and cloud-native engineering experience.
- Kubernetes, containerization, and modern platform engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience operating within regulated, secure, or mission-critical environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering platform and cloud solutions within Government, Defence, Critical National Infrastructure, or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, security-by-design, and platform governance principles.
- Experience with AWS and multi-cloud architectures.
- Experience operating and governing Kubernetes platforms at enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of modern observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Azure Monitor.
- Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms and self-service engineering models.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud migration and application modernization programs.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational excellence practices.
- Experience with enterprise networking, identity management, and Zero Trust architectures.
- Exposure to data and AI platforms.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
