Lead Platform Engineer

Contract | £700–£750 per day
Duration: 6 Months
Location: London or Edinburgh | 1 day per week onsite
Start Date: ASAP

We’re partnering with a leading organisation to appoint two experienced Lead Platform Engineers on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for senior AWS specialists to help build and strengthen a cloud platform supporting advanced AI capabilities. You’ll play a key role in developing the underlying AWS environment, with an initial focus on federated identity and consolidating existing integrations into core AWS technologies, including Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.

Operating within a highly regulated environment, you’ll combine hands-on engineering expertise with strong technical judgement to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable and aligned with strict risk, assurance and design controls.

The Opportunity

As Lead Platform Engineer, you’ll work closely with solution architecture and technical teams to assess the existing platform, identify priorities and translate requirements into robust, implementable solutions.

You’ll be joining at an important stage of the platform’s development, helping establish strong technical foundations that can support its continued growth and wider adoption. This is a hands-on role suited to a senior, lead or principal-level engineer who is comfortable navigating complex environments, working independently and making sound technical decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
