Dex

Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.

The role

This company builds AI workspaces for major financial institutions. That means every deployment faces intense scrutiny: security, audit trails, and uptime are non-negotiable. They've secured significant funding from leading VCs and are growing rapidly, transforming how complex financial processes are automated.

You'll lead the platform underpinning this entire operation. This isn't a hands-off architecture role; you'll be deeply embedded, setting technical direction and guardrails for a 150+ person engineering team. The standard isn't internal preference, it's what their customers' security teams demand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The work

  • Architect and operate the Azure footprint (AKS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD) for enterprise-grade deployments.
  • Define technical direction and guardrails: Terraform modules, pipeline patterns, observability, and on-call practice.
  • Prepare the platform for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits.
  • Own cloud cost optimization while enabling rapid product delivery under strict controls.
  • Influence the growth and structure of the platform team.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps, including a stretch where you set technical direction.
  • Experience designing Terraform modules and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) that other engineers build on.
  • End-to-end ownership of observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, on-call) and incident practice.
  • Comfortable with cloud networking (VPCs, DNS, firewalls) and provisioning production databases, with strong Python or Bash for automation.
