Job Title: Lead PLM Application Support Engineer

Location

Warton - 3-5 days per week on site depending on business needs

Salary

£59,491+ (DOE)

Job Description:

This role leads the deployment and development of the Siemens Teamcenter PLM Unified service, working closely with external vendors, international partners, and third‑party support teams on data transfers and complex issues. It focuses on improving incident and request management workflows across multiple programmes, providing leadership and technical support to colleagues and users, and collaborating directly with Siemens.

Core duties:

  • Lead the deployment and ongoing development of the Siemens Teamcenter PLM Unified service
  • Collaborate with external vendors, international partners, and third‑party support teams on secure and efficient data transfers
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve incident and request management workflows across multiple programmes
  • Provide technical leadership and hands‑on support to junior colleagues and internal and external users
  • Work closely with Siemens to deliver new capabilities and enhance the PLM service offering

Essential Skills:

  • Siemens Teamcenter Unified PLM Expertise – Expert‑level working knowledge with a proven ability to support, develop, and optimise PLM solutions within complex enterprise environments
  • Vendor and Partner Collaboration – Demonstrable experience working effectively with Siemens and third‑party vendors to deliver, support, and enhance PLM services
  • Advanced Problem‑Solving Skills – A highly analytical and methodical approach to diagnosing complex technical issues and driving them through to effective resolution
  • Extensive IT Infrastructure Knowledge – Strong understanding of supporting IT infrastructure, system integrations, and dependencies within large‑scale, business‑critical environments

The Engineering Systems Competency Centre PLM Support Team:

The ESCC PLM Support Team is a small, diverse and highly skilled team supporting our end users across the Design, Planning and Manufacturing disciplines on a wide variety of Air platforms.

We ensure our Engineering community have the toolsets and guidance needed to design and build the next generation of Air Defence products. With a particular focus on supporting multiple Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments, this role requires a highly skilled, self-motivated, problem-solving individual who can adapt quickly and, with the available training and support, is open to continuous professional development.
