Band 6 Lead Practitioner
Location: Mexborough Theatres (Rotation to other sites may be required)
Role Requirements:
The applicant must have qualifications of an Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse with at least 2 years’ experience at band 5 with current registration and be able to demonstrate recent expert clinical practice and be able to work dual role. It is desirable to hold the advanced life support qualification or be willing to complete.

In return for your expert clinical skills and commitment to service development, we will support you to develop your leadership through a personalised development plan and leadership responsibilities.
Working Hours:
The position is full-time 37.5 hours a week, however part-time 30 hours will be considered.
Additional Requirements:
The applicant must be able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of current professional issues and practice evidenced by a current portfolio.

- Evidence of any training, mentorship or preceptorship of student ODPs and Nurses.
- Evidence of any management experience will be desirable as the role involves managing the department in the absence of the Band 7.
The post will involve the successful candidate to undertake advanced life support.
